Former Days of our Lives star Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan) and her husband, Jason, have something major to celebrate: the adoption of their eldest foster son has been finalized.

Beloved Days of our Lives star Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan) shared some super exciting news on social media: she and her husband, Jason, have officially adopted their oldest foster son.

The actress took to Twitter with the heartwarming news, holding her son and a plaque that reads: "I spent 984 days in foster care but today I am adopted. It's official!!!!!"

Lilley and her husband took in their newly adopted son when he was just four months old. Since then, they've also taken in the toddler's biological half-brother, who is now just over a year old. The proud parents are also expecting a new baby; Lilley announced earlier this spring that she's pregnant with a baby girl.

Several daytime stars have congratulated Lilley on her adoption news. Both Jordi Vilasuso (Rey Rosales, The Young and the Restless; ex-Dario Hernandez, DAYS) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton, DAYS; ex-Caroline Spencer, The Bold and the Beautiful) shared short sentiments, while General Hospital's Maura West (Ava Jerome) wrote: "Beautiful! BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations to you all!!!" and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis, GH) shared: "Just so joyful. Jen, you are a truly beautiful person. What a lucky family."
