General Hospital fans will notice that a new actor has taken on the role of Danny Morgan, with portrayer TK Weaver announcing that he is no longer playing Jason and Sam's son.
"I was recast," the young actor's Twitter account states with emojis of a crying face and a broken heart. "I found out a couple weeks ago, but I was asked not to tell anyone. Broke my heart. I love you all so much. I love my GH family and all of you who make my day every day! You guys are the best!"

Danny came onto the canvas in June of 2012, with twins Gage and Gavin playing the infant character. Twins Jaxon and Jakob Kring took on the role when Danny became a toddler, followed by Caden and Corben Rothweiler, then Braiden and Dylan Kazowski. Weaver was the first to play Danny in a solo capacity, making his debut in May of 2016. Since that time, he has received two Young Artist Award nominations and a Young Entertainer Award for his work on the ABC soap opera.
Several of Weaver's GH costars reacted to the news that the child star was let go, including his TV parents and some other big stars from the show.

At this time, GH has not yet announced who has taken over the role of Danny, but Weaver took a moment to wish the character's next portrayer well and to urge viewers to give him a fair chance.
"I loved being Danny Morgan for three years. I learned so much. I wish I could have grown up more on the show but it didn't happen unfortunately," he wrote. "Good luck to the new Danny!! I hope you all love him too! Truly."
