Most people spent the recent Fourth of July weekend doing fun activities like camping, boating, and spending time with family, but Day of our Lives actress Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) wrapped up the weekend with a very different experience. Her holiday festivities ended with a bang, but unfortunately, not the kind you get from fireworks: she had to have stitches following an injury caused by housework.
"Way to end a great holiday weekend.. Ugh," the actress shared on social media along with a photo of herself in the doctor's office. "Thank you to my dear friend @beverly.hills.cosmetic.surgeon for driving to his office on a Sunday night to stitch up my face because I can't properly transfer the washing into the dryer without hitting my face on the door of the dryer. That's what I get for trying to be productive."
Prior to her unfortunate house cleaning incident, Bjorlin posted a photo in honor of National Bikini Day, which was July 5, alongside her former DAYS costar Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie Jonas).
"Happy National Bikini Day from @mollyburnett and me! Also, who decides these 'holidays'?!" she joked. "Hope everyone is enjoying their Independence Day weekend!"
As Soap Central previously reported, Bjorlin was let go from DAYS earlier this year and will likely make her final appearance as Chloe sometime this summer. Here's hoping her laundry accident won't mar any of the actress' future auditions and she'll be back on-screen in another soap opera or television program soon!
