Daytime legend Tony Geary is back in the saddle! The actor, who hung up his hat as General Hospital's Luke Spencer when he retired in 2015, surprised fans by showing up unannounced in an episode of This Show Sucks: Truth + Consequences.
As Soap Central previously reported, the online series (created by longtime soap photographer and Geary's friend, Jim Warren) is a series of vignettes that follows the behind-the-scenes happenings of a fictional daytime drama called Truth + Consequences.
Episode nine is set in Amsterdam, where Geary resides, and is a fun poke at Geary's relationship with daytime. It follows the Truth + Consequences producers, who have finally located the show's former star, Trent Silver (Geary), whom they'd like to convince to come back -- even if just for a limited run. The decision could be the difference between T+C remaining on the air -- or joining the other daytime soap operas that were unceremoniously being booted from the airwaves. Will Trent acquiesce?
The episode, which also features Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois, GH) and Sonya Eddy (Epiphany Johnson, GH), has an official description attached that teases more information about Geary's Trent Silver will come at a later date. Check it out below, and don't forget to let us know what you think in our Comments section at the end of the article.
This Show Sucks also stars daytime veterans like Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott, The Young and the Restless), Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke Lavery, GH; ex-Dr. James Warwick, The Bold and the Beautiful), Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin, GH), Wally Kurth (Ned Quartermain, GH; Justin Kiriakis, Days of our Lives), and Kim Zimmer (ex-Reva Shayne, Guiding Light) alongside other über popular daytime favorites like Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, GH; ex-Ryan Lavery, All My Children), Kristen Alderson (ex-Kiki Jerome, GH; ex-Starr Manning, One Life to Live), Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing, GH), and Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis, DAYS).
